A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Assembly Technician will be a member of our winning team producing top quality products at our diverse manufacturing site located in Springfield, TN. Our technicians are responsible for assembling various parts of semi-finished and finished products and preparing them to be shipped to customers or other industries. Technicians operate heat sealing equipment, sewing machines, basic hand tools and assist ply cutter operators as necessary. We trust our team of technicians to study, read, and understand the work instructions, schematic diagrams, and blueprints regarding products, fixtures and tools. We value our assembly technicians. They play a crucial role in the production of our products.

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

In order to be successful in this role you’ll need the ability to:

Have an open mind and desire to learn
Operate heat seaming machines safely and efficiently
Read and understand drawings and written work instructions
Manufacture and assemble products per instructions provided meeting Airtech quality standards
Assist other employees as necessary for multi-person tasks
Perform minor equipment maintenance and adjustments as necessary
Check operating controls and safety stops on equipment prior to use
Communicate ideas for improvement to immediate supervisor, management or engineering
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with Airtech policies
Communicate any unsafe working conditions, behavior or safety hazards to immediate supervisor
Comply with all Airtech employee policies
Maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, and management
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent work experience
Ability to read and understand written work instructions and drawings
