We’re hiring for a full time baker to join the Grain + Honey Team!
Baking is tough, but rewarding, work. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on their feet for hours at a time, critical thinking skills, and the ability to learn lots of information quickly.
Starting Pay: $14-15/hour with room to grow
Benefits: Free bread and product discounts, two paid weeks off a year (one in October and one in December)
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday from 8:30-5pm
Responsibilities and Requirements:
Make the signature baked goods for our shop in downtown Springfield
Follow recipes, measure ingredients, and make both sourdough breads and pastry products; responsible for all aspects of the baking process, from making raw doughs and batters, to pulling finished products out of the oven
Keep the kitchen in tip top shape, following all health and safety regulations
Work with commercial bakery equipment, including mixers and ovens
Lift up to 50lbs including tubs of doughs, mixing bowls, and bags of flour.
