Career Pathways Specialist
(Grant-Funded Position)

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Nashville is now accepting applications for the position of Career Pathways Specialist. TCAT Nashville is a post-secondary technical college accredited by the Council on Occupational Education.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service, recruitment, marketing, or a related field (higher education experience preferred).

  • Strong customer service, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively to both groups and individuals.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with students, schools, faculty, business/industry partners, and the community.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and audio/visual technology; familiarity with student records or sensitive data management preferred.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.

  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals.

General Responsibilities

  • Oversee dual enrollment programs in Cheatham, Robertson, and Sumner County Schools.

  • Provide career counseling to guide students in selecting appropriate training pathways.

  • Assist students with the dual enrollment admissions process, including applications, grant forms, and required documentation.

  • Maintain accurate records and tracking systems for dually enrolled students, including attendance, grades, and progress.

  • Collaborate with county school systems to develop additional articulation pathways with TCAT Nashville.

  • Represent TCAT at recruitment events such as college and career fairs.

  • Promote awareness of TN Promise to high school seniors.

  • Perform other duties related to career and technical education as assigned by supervisors or administration, on and off campus.

  • Applicants may be subject to a background check.

Salary

Commensurate with education and experience.
