Title: Family Engagement Specialist/Family Coach

Program: Connecting Robertson County

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field OR a minimum high school diploma – Certified Family Support Specialist
(CFSS) preferred. If the candidate only possesses a high school diploma, they must be a family member or
caregiver of a child with mental health diagnosis who has personal experience with children’s mental health
issues and in navigating child-serving systems.
• Non-profit organization experience and work history within child serving systems preferred.
• Willingness to work in Robertson County office. Remote opportunities available as program allows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail, required.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in coordination and facilitation of special programming, professional development or other
similar activities that will enhance programming and increase competencies with partners and/or
families in the program.
• Works with partners to organize and coordinate family and community focused events allowing for the
entire community and family to connect and build stronger bonds.
• Collaborates with partners to prepare all necessary materials for family focused and community events
to ensure event objectives are met including catering, vendors, and other resources needed for family
engagement.
• Collaborates with partners on budget availability and billing requirements to ensure grant budget
allowances are not exceeded.
• Perform administrative duties related to paperwork and documentation for all housing programs and grants,
ensuring full compliance.
• Maintains a consistent caseload of families with a goal of serving at least 10 families per year.
• Provides holistic and comprehensive services to all participants, including intake assessments, goal
setting, short and long-term action plan development, progress monitoring, budgeting, advocacy, and
referrals.
• Communicates regularly with Employment Navigator, Financial Counselor, and other members of the
Care Team or support systems as needed. Participates in regular staff meetings, staff training
programs, and supervisory sessions, and accepts responsibility for developing a cohesive and positive
team culture.
• Track key performance metrics monthly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work Environment: Office setting and out in community. Must be able to sit / stand for 8 hours.
• Walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to travel to community service providers, housing and property, and to families in need.
