Johnson Electric is excited to announce we are now recruiting for Injection Molding Specialists on 2nd Shift in our Springfield, TN location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Achieve departmental goals – scrap, PPH OA, etc.
Provide daily communication with production staff regarding production and quality issues.
Ensure parts are produced to appropriate quality levels and ensure suspect product is contained and corrective actions are in place.
Perform root cause analysis of production and quality problems and to implement permanent corrective actions.
Perform daily duties with accuracy and in a timely manner. This includes mold changes, press start ups, quality checks, material movement, etc.
Accurately complete all production documentation and data entry in a timely manner.
Follow all 6S and safety standards and practices.
Provide continuous improvement and cost savings ideas.
Work with engineering to ensure that processes are robust and monitor processes per standard work.
Train employees on scientific molding techniques.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Scientific/Decoupled molding experience.
Plastic materials knowledge.
Knowledge/experience in automotive manufacturing.
Lean manufacturing experience.
Computer literate.
Formal problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalency
3 – 5 years Plastics / Injection Molding experience
