We are excited to announce we are now recruiting for a Plant Manager at our Springfield, TN location. We are searching for a high caliber operations manager who is well trained, knows how to make an operation run smoothly and predictably and is a good leader with potential for growth. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of the Operations function of the business for a single facility ranging from 200 – 300 employees. Responsible for the coordination and performance of all Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, Lean Coordinators, and direct and indirect hourly employees. Refine the manufacturing strategy that supports the corporation, solidify its regional strategy, continue the company’s lean transformation. Assess the existing management talent and ensure they have a core team around which to build their future.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead and support the improvement and growth initiatives for Operations.
Assess Operations organization and address important and urgent issues
Lead development and implementation of the Operations strategies and plans to support the near term and long-term business needs and expectations.
Refine operating metrics and operating model for the Manufacturing functions which are consistent with lean operating practices.
Develop and implement the long-term vision and strategic plan for the company’s Operations
Lead the development and implementation of the people, systems, processes, facilities, equipment, and tools that provide company Operations with superior operating results and sustainable competitive advantage.
Support the development and maintenance of the company as a growing Company with a portfolio of products sold to the aftermarket and to the OEM’s through internal growth strategies and strategic acquisitions.
Support the senior strengthening of the organization through the recruiting, performance management and succession planning processes.
Provide leadership and support of various strategic and tactical initiatives as required.
Develop skills and competencies to prepare for the internal and external growth of the company and the potential of expanded responsibilities.
Become a source of positive driving energy and leadership for the company, with strong personal, interpersonal, and technical competencies.
Our Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
10+ Years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Would be advantageous:
Ten to twelve years in successive leadership roles in an automotive manufacturing environment or equivalent, primarily in manufacturing roles, achieving exceptional improvement in operating performance and financial results.
Ability to manage people and to respect and maintain good relationships with all levels of the workforce. Sound leadership skills, well-developed management skills and a good listener.
Experience working in a nonunion environment, proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate personnel to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.
Must be a self-starter and can make good decisions based on information. Must be able to travel and spend a high percentage of time in the manufacturing environment.
