Office Supervisor – U.S. Census Bureau

The U.S. Census Bureau is hiring a temporary Office Supervisor to lead and support field operations for upcoming projects in Robertson County. This position offers a unique opportunity to manage local data collection efforts that impact both the region and the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all office operations, including start-up, workflow oversight, quality control, and closure

  • Supervise and guide office and field staff

  • Direct data collection efforts and ensure timely, accurate reporting

  • Develop and implement strategies to meet project goals on time and within budget

Position Type:

  • Temporary Federal Appointment (initial 90 days, may be extended)

  • Travel: Occasional local travel may be required

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Registered for Selective Service, if applicable

  • Suitable for federal employment (background check required)

Qualifications by Grade Level:

  • GS-09: One year of related experience at GS-07 level or a master’s degree

  • GS-11: One year of experience at GS-09 level or a Doctoral degree

  • GS-12: One year of experience at GS-11 level (no education substitution)

  • Supervising and training staff

  • Leading community-based projects

  • Reviewing performance, payroll, and quality reports

  • Managing timelines, budgets, and operational plans

  • Effective communication with diverse teams and the public
