The Robertson County Economic Development Board is pleased to announce the selection of Kalee Harryman as the County’s next Chief Economic Development Officer, effective June 29, 2026.
This pivotal decision marks an exciting new chapter for both the organization and the community, as Robertson County looks ahead to Harryman’s leadership and her collaboration with Assistant Director Sarah Warren.
“Kalee stood out throughout an incredibly competitive process,” said Board Chairman Caleb Fuqua. “Her experience, leadership style and commitment to community-focused economic development make her the ideal choice to guide Robertson County into the future.”
Harryman is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Tennessee Certified Economic Developer (TCEcD). She brings more than a decade of economic development experience in the region. Most recently, she served as the Greater Nashville Business Development Consultant with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, where she led business recruitment and expansion projects resulting in nearly thousands of new jobs and hundreds of millions in capital investment.
Her background includes leadership roles with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development team and the Industrial Board of Coffee County, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of economic strategy, community development and stakeholder engagement.
Throughout the selection process, Harryman distinguished herself not only through her professional accomplishments, but also through her character and approach. She is widely respected among state, regional and local partners and has built strong relationships across Tennessee’s economic development network. Her expertise spans grant funding, site development, workforce initiatives and business recruitment—all essential components of sustainable growth.
Equally important, Harryman brings a thoughtful, community-centered perspective. She prioritizes long-term success, strategic growth and opportunities that enhance quality of life for both residents and businesses.
“Successful economic development is about more than headlines,” Harryman said. “It’s about building strong, resilient communities where people want to live, work and invest. I’m honored to join Robertson County and look forward to working alongside local leaders and partners to support the county’s continued success.”
The Robertson County Economic Development Board is a nine-member body appointed by the Robertson County Commission to staggered six-year terms. Members are selected for their expertise in business, development and finance, as well as their geographic representation across the county.
“The Board and I are thrilled about this hire and the future of economic development in Robertson County,” said Assistant Director Sarah Warren. “I look forward to supporting Kalee as she steps into this position and to the opportunities ahead for our community.”
