Rod McDaniel, CEO of S3 Recycling in Springfield, understands that simplicity is key in his line of work.
“What sets us apart, and one of our customers recently said this, is simplicity,” McDaniel said. “In our industry, it’s very easy to make things complicated. Whether that’s requiring a list before pickup or an algorithm on how you’re paid on the electronics. We simply say, ‘Hey, we’re going to pick it up.’ You snap a picture for us. We’ll do it for free and figure out how to make money on the back end because that’s what we do.
“That’s our biggest selling point is that when the equipment gets here, we’ll find a way to generate some revenue from it.”
